T-Shirts

Short sleeve tees are an essential piece of a wardrobe - they might be useful especially in the summer, but also play a role in layering for colder months. Here you'll find a selection of well made t-shirts that might look somewhat low-key sans big prints and vibrant colours, but are all interesting in terms of details, construction and quality materials.

Odyn Vovk
LA based designer Austin Sherbanenko has been working hard on the spring collection for his label, Odyn Vovk. These long, slim fitting t-shirts with moderately curved seams are one of the key pieces in the collection. The cotton/rayon/silk is super soft and feels very comfortable when worn. They also look great paired with one of his tank tops.

Rick Owens
Made from super-soft cotton, this layered t-shirt from Rick Owens has been carried on for several seasons and for a good reason; the layered construction provides a really nice fit and look. The colours available are also great ranging from the greyish brown Dust to a darker brown, black and white. Note that the cotton will stretch a bit in width, so they fit quite true to size.

Boris Bidjan Saberi
This tee from the Barcelona-based designer is a good example of a great material combined with careful details resulting in something simple but interesting. The stretchy shirt looks good both fitted and worn oversized, the stitching on the front provide a nice touch.

€193 from Darklands, Berlin

Nicolas & Mark
Various t-shirts have been staple items from Italian brand Nicolas & Mark. Some feature interesting cuts and others have multiple layers providing a unique fit. This brown one has a black layer underneath which sticks out neatly in the hem and sleeves and can also create a twisted effect to the whole shirt.

Muji
This could well be the perfect white t-shirt. A great basic from Muji which has a nice, long and slim fit and a perfectly wide neck that doesn’t plunge too deep. Made of very light cotton, the tee looks good under anything and great on its own as well.

€25 from Muji stores

Chronicles of Never
The 'Rotten Apple' tee from the Aussie label has a nice, slim and elongated fit making it another great layering piece as well as a good pick for a warmer climate due to the lightweight material; a slightly sheer viscose.

$88 AUD from The Grand Social
