Christy Romanick
introduction by Windy Weber

Christy Romanick is a seer of sorts, a visionary. With her camera and actual film, she captures the essence of situations in ways many of us would simply miss. There is a depth of emotion in her work that is awe inspiring. It can be seen in the way she frames her subjects and then shoots just past them, shifting the focus in a way that makes the viewer look inward, look inside themselves for their internal point of reference and connection. Her work can be hypnotic and soothing, edgy and unsettling, but is always stunning. She uses her love of the outdoors and of traveling to fill her palette with images that are almost voyeuristic in nature - an inside glimpse at a secret world. Through the years her work has been featured on album covers, shown in galleries, and appeared in magazines. Christy's young age belies her abilities, and her current body of work is an indication of the greatness yet to come. How can anything be better than what she has already done? Watch her and see, keep her in your radar. You won't be disappointed.
