Roden Gray
Opened only half a year ago, Roden Gray has already become well known in Vancouver as well
as online, attracting customers from all over the world. We have been doing
extremely well, having attracted international and local loyal clientele within six
months explains founder Rob Lo. The boutique was opened in Vancouvers Gastown
area in November 2007 by Lo and Davie Fernandes. Having both paved their way in the
citys fashion and retail scene, the two bring a good amount of experience which has
certainly contributed to the shops success. Another factor in it is certainly the way
buying is handled. Roden Gray seems to put very careful attention to their buying and
selection process working with a limited number of brands rather than buying everything
possible. We usually have amazing relationships with the designers and brands
we work with, Lo tells. We want to work with brands that will have longevity
and great quality and great people behind the brand.
Along with brands such as Nice
Collective, Obedient Sons and a mix of international brands, Canadian Wings + Horns seems
to be one of the most important and exciting brands at Roden Gray, the one which Rob Lo is

excited about as well. They use amazing innovative materials and the
quality and details are superb. The label itself seems to have a sort of a cult
following for their clean cut, well made garments. This translates to RGs preferred
view of style quite well, which Lo explains as something you could put on
effortlessly everyday.
News which both
scoute and the guys are excited about is that this fall the store will also pick up New
York designer Robert Geller, whose fall collection was a favorite. Further future plans
for Roden Gray and Rob Lo include expansion both in terms of locations and new brands,
which certainly will be as hand picked and well selected as the current ones. Another
venture is the Roden Gray collection, which you will hear more about in the future
visit Roden Gray at www.rodengray.com and 231 Cambie Street, Vancouver
BC.
